Production Kershaw/ZT knives you have never owned

Was thinking about this today. I have owned a lot of great Kershaws and a lot of ZT's offerings but there are a few knives that are extremely popular that I have never had. I'm not talking about 0777s and Tilts, just regular models.

Are there any regular production, popular knives that you have never owned but aren't sure why? For example, if you have never owned a leek tell me why. Feel free to talk me into buying either of them as well.

I have never owned-

Blur- Seems like a great knife and everyone seems to love it. I think I have not picked one up because I went straight from <3" blades to a ZT350. I also was unsure about the inserts and not having a flipper. Plus going by the "show me your blur" thread, I might become addicted.

Skyline- The looks of it are a little plain for me and I just have always overlooked it. I am thinking about grabbing one though.

i one that comes to my mind first is the blur for me.....im not sure why eithier ive heard alot of great things about and feel i would love it myself. I think its because i would love them and it may set off along road of tryin to collect them....thats how i work lol

Zt knives that were discontinued before last year and the ones coming out now. Only reason why not is funds someday... Someday.

I'm sure there are many that I've never owned... reasons are pretty much the same for all. Either it's just not a model/design that interests me, or I haven't been able to find one at a the right price point for me to satisfy the curiosity. The RAM, Random Task, and Bump series all fall under the latter.

The only reason for ZT is the lack of funds. The Kershaw's would have to be the Knockout, Piston and the R.A.M. The only reason for those is there's been something like an LE that I really want or something was one up on the list.

This is a good thread...my first thought when I read the title was..man I wish I owned a tilt :P

I need and want to own a kershaw. Never owned one. I have 5 ZTs, but no kershaws

I would start with a blur, skyline, and a leek.

ZT Mudd and 0400 pe. Trying to track them down. Come close on both a few times, but no dice. I made the mistake of getting a couple Blurs and as you can guess that has quickly spiralled out of control. There are a few that I keep an eye out for like Grooves and Offsets, but they can get expensive quickly. Never tried a Knockout. Everyone says they are awesome, just never pulled the trigger. Seems like a new Blur or something pops up and takes my money before I can get one.

The only production ZT I like is the 0350. I'm not a huge fan of the "overbuilt" style of folders. I've owned and sold off a 0560, 0780, and a 0550. Other than the 0770 I don't plan on buying any others as of right now. It's just preference.

The two that come to mind would be the blur and leek. Both the models I want are regular production (CB leek and S30V blur) I just have other knives that are either discontinued or I want more. I'll get them eventually.

I have owned a lot of Leeks and I can say for sure that my collection will always have at least 1 in it.

The Groove is a knife that I really want as well. The RJ collabs are really growing on me. Even after making this thread, I think my next addition will either be a knockout or an SS volt.

Nothing wrong with that. The 770 is going to be amazing.

The blur is awesome (my vote for best all around edc). The 0350 is often referred to as a blur on steroids; so a blur would be a streamlined 0350.

As for the skyline, it has always seemed a bit too flimsy to me. So I usually buy something else instead.

For me the most popular model I have no interest in would be the jyd series...the clip is just bad.

You could always have STR here on the forums make you a deep-carry one. If I don't like the one on mine that's coming, then I think I'm going to do that.

Probably not the most popular but at the top of my dont have yet list would be a ZT 0400 PE, Kershaw 1730T Groove, Zing 1735 damascus, and G10 Tyrade. One day if I can find relatively nice examples at a reasonable price... I'm not a collector, I'm just a user

I don't know if you have ordered from him before, but STR is awesome to deal with and makes a very good product. I put an STR deep carry clip on my Southard and it is a huge improvement over the stock clip.

Im the same way, I have no issues picking up light users because I enjoy carrying any knives I buy.

Let me tell you the Tilt is really awesome if you ever find one for a decent price than get it. Fortunately I bought mine here on the forum before they started hitting $400 plus.

I wanted to own a Blur...felt it was too big...then I got horny for an 0300 but held back on the price....

I think I just may have to go the regular route....you know Leek => Blur => 0350 => 0300 :D

I've never owned a Skyline. But judging from what everyone says about it on here, I'll probably have to pick one up. I know Dave has some with a brown handle and black blade. Those look pretty sweet.

I have recently been working on picking up some of the old ones that I should have when they were on the primary market (Bumps, Offset, JYD, Lahar, etc.). I still want to get a Tyrade, Groove, and several others. For me, the reason for not getting almost any Kai product has been budget.
