Hello all, recently I have given myself a new project after seeing Michael's100 little seaxs project last year. So I started a project for production puukkos. Jason Kraus from Northstar Forge and I are working on this project together and we are still in the prototype phase so please forgive the poor photos. Yesterday we did a couple of basic tests with the knife to make sure it stands up to snuff. So here are the stats 1095 blade 3 1/2 inches long for each knife with a variable handle length of about 4 inches and going for $50 a piece. I say variable because we are still trying to figure out which size is the most "universally comfortable" for this size knife. I think yesterday we finally have a handle pattern that we both agreed on so any new puukos should have that lay out. The picture below is of the first four but as of Monday we will have eight done. Sadly no picture of the "model" handle. Please tell me what you think of these knives while we are still in the design phase your critique would be very appreciated. Thanks for looking!

I just remembered that I had one of the puukkos in my bag so I snapped a photo of it this morning. This is the "pattern" layout that we would like to do on all future puukkos. It is green leather, Bolivian rosewood, stainless steel, cherry and then repeat with brass. This one still needs to be cleaned up and have it's edge put on but it gives you a good idea. Tell me what you think!

I like them at $50. What about the sheath? How about putting scandi grinds on them?

Really nice looking and the price is great!
How thick is the blade stock?
