Production Knives: Quality Collaborations

I just received two new knives A Microtech L.C.C. and A Benchmade Axis 730. It seems as if the quality of production collaboration as raised the standard, knive enthusiats will start to expect from all knife manufaturers. This is my first Microtech and I can not say enough about the quality of this knife ( it is as close to a custom as one can get ). As for Benchmade I have owned several and felt the knives were ok but lacked a refinement but my BM 730 is smooth with a solid lock-up and sharp. The prices of these collaboration are also very affordable. It's good to see quality products as most manufacturers reduce cost, increase production, and in doing so reduce the quality of once well built products now made of plastic and inferior materials.

Just sounding off.

Collaborations are cool. In the case of the new BM Osborne, it seems like BM paid attention to quality. Maybe collaborations are like personal behavior; you act like the company you keep.

Hold on to your seats as we introduce around 20 new knives under collaboration with very well know custom makers. Such as? Darrel Ralph, Tim Herman (his first collaboration agreement in 23+ years of custom knifemaking), J. Patrick Daily (my partner and an upcoming knife designer with one patented knife under his belt so far).
