I really like the look of the discontinued CRKT 'Corkum' knife

But for the price and steel used, not to mention many reports of the blade coming dull, I just cant justify tediously searching out and spending 50+ for one. Are there any other options as far as production knives with japanese cord-wrap or is the only other alternative customs?

If the steel is half-decent(AUS-8 IMO), it shouldn't matter much if it comes dull.

I believe the CRKT Hisshou also comes cord wrapped(though the price is much higher). The Kanetsune Shinobi also comes cord wrapped in Aogami steel.

I forgot to mention it was reported to be very tough to sharpen. It featured an "appleseed" convex blade profile and came in either AUS6 or 440A:p
