One of the reasons I have been focusing on traditionals lately us I love wood, bone, or stone/shell for the scales/handle. Anyone know of a large (about 4 inch bkade) modern liner lock with scales made of natural materials like those mentioned and is a production folder?

If 3" +/- of blade will do you, then the classic Buck 110 or a Buck Duke will be a great choice. I have gotten several from Heath Stone at Stone Knifeworks, and he will make you one with whatever scales you choose for a reasonable price. I have examples in Stag, Sheep Horn and several different woods. These knives are available bone stock with wooden scales. I also have a Lone Wolf Tailout model which has nice dark wooden scales--not sure what type of wood, but it is a quality knife,

There is also the benchmade bone collector series and the crkt natural. If you want to get spendy you can look into a large sebenza with wood inlays.

My large Sebenza w Gabon Ebony wood inlays is fantastic looking, I love it so much I find it hard to use! That's just me though...it has a bit of sentimental value to me. Paired with the gold lug and spacers so cool and slick. I can post pics if it interests you!

Top to bottom: Fox Deimos Citadel with brown ziricote wood (4.5" N690), Viper Rhino with pau santo wood (4.25" N690), Viper Start with cocobolo wood (4" N690):

I got these all at ExtremAddiction.

Note: The Viper knives are backlock but the Fox Deimos is liner lock.

Some knives that come to mind are the larger Opinels, the EKA Swede 60 with wooden scales, the Buck 110 and the Buck 277 below. Also check out Böker.

Very nice knives and not nearly as expensive as they look.
