I think the price is high for a company that specializes in flashlights. SF has not made a reputation as a knife maker yet. I own SF flashlights and they are top notch. It looks like a quality knife but is it really worth $240 compared to the competition.
 
Think of it as a production Ryan. That would make it a bargain. But I wish they'd make the huge Surefire logo a little less garish.

Surefire isn't known for it's knives, but Steve Ryan is. I think the price is reasonable. I have handled a couple, and they are beefy knives!

However, I don't see myself owning one anytime soon. The design just really doesn't do it for me.
 
As a framelock, with a sharpened top edge, it would do more for me.
 
hey, i'm a flashaholic, and i like surefires just as much as the next guy...

but that thing reminds me of a doggy weewee :barf:

I kinda likeit. I liked the prototype better, though. It was darker and meaner lookin.
Why do you guys dislike it so much? Me, I don't like the logo and would prefer a framelock. I like the shape, especially the blade. Let's be a bit constructive, eh?:p
 
I think it looks good. Just goes to show you that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As far as price goes, I don't think it is out of line.

HJK, I think this knife is sharpened on the spine near the tip. One thing is for certain though, it isn't a framelock.

Evan at TAD said it wasn't sharpened on top. The prototype was.
 
Thanks HJK, those pictures on Knifeart leave the impression that the top edge is sharpened. Maybe that is a picture of the prototype.
 
Hmmm dunno about the price but I like the bladeshape, don't see what's wrong with it but as said before, it could do without the logo and the flipper.
