Production year help on SCHRADE + UNCLE HENRY 152UH FIXED BLADE SHARPFINGER KNIFE W/SHEATH ~ USA

Hi all,
Found a really nice looking Schrade 152UH.

I think this is the late 1990's production year, but can anyone confirm?

Either that or a special production run in early 2000's.

Don't think it is the single year 1984 run.

Thx much. Any insight is appreciated!

Based on info from Clemente's book on Schrade knives, this should be from 1994-1998 for stagalon handles and the Uncle Henry brand. For Uncle Henry it was called the "Wolverine".

The Old Timer brand started the "Sharpfinger" knife pattern in 1974, in brown delrin handles.

Thanks a lot Rookie82 Rookie82 !
That is what I thought.
What would have been the difference in this production run and the single year 1984 run- just curious. I don't have that book, will shop for it.

Thx again

I've seen both the '84 and the '94-'98 versions side by side and didn't notice any difference at all short of pulling out a veneer to measure thicknesses. Even then it would be minute as it wasn't visibly noticeable. There wasn't a '69/'70 version as the sharpfinger pattern itself wasn't developed until 1974.

But the 90's production run would be stamped Schrade+, correct? And the 84 not +?

I misread a source, a handle design for the UH Woverine was based on a handle from 1969/70

Thx much

The success of the 152OT inspired Schrade to issue a stainless Uncle Henry Signature version of the knifein 1982, the 152UH "Wolverine", sporting a Staglon handle (Delrin molded and accent colored to immitatestag antler) with the Uncle Henry signature shield as found on the Signature Series pocketknives, and twoflat rivets, all in nickle silver. This was a handle design first used on the 165UH during the short two yearfirst production run in 1969-'70 and repeated on a second later production in 1994-'97. The 152UH wassupplied with the standard sheath. It's tangstamp is "SCHRADE+" over "U.S.A. 152UH" on the 440Astainless blade as one might expect. These are most often found in the gray/black "A Sharp Idea" box.

Really good website on schrade just google collector-of-schrades

They would both be marked Schrade +. The plus was added some time in the mid to late 1970's.
