Professional Soldier scales?

I picked up a drop point PS tonight to try as a fixed blade EDC. I think it'll work out pretty well if I get a TekLock so I can carry the knife on my belt but I can't help but wonder what this little blade would be like with some nice, thin scales.

Has anyone here added a set of scales to their Professional Soldier? I'm thinking a rounded set of Micarta scales would be great to fill out the hand a bit but carbon fiber would be good looking and add something to the overall feel. The scales wouldn't be full sized, the tang would be a little "proud", which i think would look and function equally well. Obviously the knife would need a new sheath if scales were added but a simple kydex sheath isn't very expensive or difficult to craft. I have a friend at Screech Owl Knives that has made a few sets of scales for my Spyderco Mules, along with sheaths, so I may ask him if he can work some magic on the knife.

What are everyone's thoughts on adding scales to the PS? I'm interested in hearing the responses.

I plan to get a PS Insingo soon; I like the idea of Micarta scales that I can swap on and off, similar to some of the ESEE knives. Good idea.

(And I would also get the Tek Lock belt setup as well.)

I think it'd be pretty easy, and cheap, to do. Two screws, one in the channel near the blade and the other in the lower lanyard hole then the upper hole could be used for a lanyard. Just a little hand filling width would make the PS much, much better IMO.

That's a nice sheath buddy.. I want one for my incoming Mountaineer 1.. Any advice?

I'm pretty sure the sheath is made by Bladetech for CRK but I'm not positive. It's super thin, I've been wearing it as a neck knife around my hoodie and down my chest all day and it's 100% unnoticeable and I can hardy tell it's there myself.

My friend Daniel, of Screech Owl Knives, makes some really nice kydex sheaths using a carbon fiber design. He's made a couple for my Mules and I like them, I'm sure he'd be happy to make one for yours but you'd likely need to send him the knife.
