It's been too long since I bought a new knife, and way too long since I last bought a CRK. So I just ordered a Professional Soldier. Now the wait begins.

I've been pondering pulling the trigger on one of these myself. Did you get the drop point, tanto or insingo?

I'll most likely go the same route. The CR tanto is the first tanto to catch my interest in a long while. I'd like to handle an insingo before I make up my mind, but that's just me. I look forward to your pics and thought when it comes. :)

Grats! What are you gonna do for a handle?

At most I'll wrap it in paracord. But from the reviews it sounds like if I do anything to the handle then it won't fit in the stock sheath. So then I'd have to get a different sheath, but that opens a whole other can of worms. The reviews also suggest that the bare metal handle is comfortable enough for the kind of workload you'd expect a little necker like that to take on. So maybe I'll just leave the handle bare metal.

In other words, once I get the knife, I'll figure it out. :D

Fair enough. I've held one and for my hands, it's not particularly comfortable to squeeze, I have bad knuckles though, and sure to have bad arthritis later. Too much holding onto grips racing.

I have one with a Tanto blade. I have wrapped the lanyard around the end of the handle and this provides a bit of extra grip. I like the knife a lot but am a little disappointed about the sheath retention. I made a modification to the sheath and it is good now.
