Well mom and I were finally able to put the house on the market. Hope to soon be able to set my shop back up and grind out a few knives and get the bowfishing knife prototype made and get it into production. Got some cork samples for me to make sure I can get the knife to float. Here are the pics I have so far of the house on the inside already staged.

I'll post some pics of the living room soon. We just got back from Lake Corpus Christi area looking for a house. Trying to find one on the water but everything we found had atleast $5,000 worth of repairs just to be livable so we are going to keep looking. Trying to find one under $90k. So what yall think about the house? Once I get the bowfishing knife into prototype stages and testing stages I'll get some pics posted.

Also the work I did on the house is:

Replaced the kitchen counter tops
Did the flooring in the kitchen and also in the bathrooms
Replaced the vanities, mirrors, medicine cabinets, and light fixtures in both bathrooms
Replaced the base molding and shoe molding in both bathrooms
Hung the lights in the kitchen and dining room
Hung the ceiling fans in the living room and first bedroom
Did all the plumbing on the new vanities and kitchen sink as well as reseated the toilets in both bathrooms
Did all the heavy lifting and moving of furniture (mom is still recovering some from her back surgery but does not need anything to help her walk and she can still drive)
Planted the flowers in the front of the house
Assisted with the clean up of the shop, garage, and house inside and out
Helped with the painting
Anything that needed to be installed I installed
And basically helped where I could.

Just so Stacy doesn't think I was just slacking off and not making any knives and such I posted the pics and explained everything I worked on. :D Just picking on you Stacy!!! Now that we got the whole house updated from the late 70's it shouldn't take too long to sell. I did take a couple of days off every couple of weeks or when the stress was way too much and went fishing or bowfishing. Next weekend I'm heading down to Carrizo Springs to visit a buddy of mine to do some hunting. Hes one of my field testers for the bowfishing knife. Yall think I worked enough on this house? It was a nightmare to clean and find places for all the stuff my grandparents collected over the years. We took his tools (what was left after we grabbed a few that we needed) and loaded them up and took them to auction. Took almost 4 hours to sell them all and total came to just over $6k but we made just over $4k after the commission for the auctioneer was taken out. I'm glad we finally got the house finished and on the market.

It looks nice dude!

90K? You can't buy a dump here near Portland, Oregon for under 200K. Wow! It sounds like your home prices are similar to Ohio, where my wife and I buy rental homes. We looked at buying rental homes here in Portland, and couldn't find anything reasonably priced.

The house looks great.

It's amazing how some places you can get a mansion for what I've paid for a small 1300 square foot house on less than a quarter acre in a 'bad neighborhood'

Mine was about the cheapest house I could find and thus the only I could afford, at 225k

Good work. Not a good time to sell a house though. (Sadly.) Good luck.

We tried hard to get the house ready by July or August but we weren't able to finish by then. In this neighborhood $100K-$110k is top end on the pricing. Just so yall know that was the first counter top I ever did. It was fun tho. Ickie, why not get this house from us and use it as a rental!!! :D

Did you save any of the countertop material for handals?

Looks like you did a slam bang job Jacob! The place looks great!

BTW my 2 1/2 yo daughter was watching me surf the forums a couple of days ago and asked "who's that" when she saw your picture. I told her your name and kept scrolling through the thread. She had a cow, because she wanted to see "The Donald". Same thing this morning. You are now "The Donald"! :D -Matt-

Well, It's good to see you getting SOMETHING done !!!

Great work getting the place ready. Hope it sells soon.
Stacy

She didn't do all the work!!!! I did everything she couldn't do as well as help her with the rest of the stuff she could do. She can't lift more than 10lbs so you can tell I had to do a lot of moving of stuff and lifting and everything. I did all the construction work. Thanks guys for the compliments!!
