Well, the day didn't start out that good. This is the first knife I ground today not counting the runt. .

This is how it turned out.

Haha. That happens. Thats why I cut 12 to make 9. So I'm down to 11.

But the day turned out pretty good.

Oooo. Notice the new carbide file guide I got this week. Hurray! It really made this step a lot nicer. And I put the finish grind on a Bushcrafter Jr just to see how that was and it was sweet.

Plus, I ground a bunch of Aluminum out of the way on my rotary platten so now I can manuver a piece around both sides of the belt.

Great shop day. I'm tired as hell.

Looks like a good day to me! How did that one get so bent? I know very little about making knives so I am super curious.

I was grinding it and messed it up and rather than fight with it I stuck it in a vise and bent it. It was softened steel, and bent suprisingly easily.

Your funny. Why not put it off to the side and make a one off. You could of sold it to some strange dude that like those type of knives. One man's oops is another man's user!!

Perfectionists:rolleyes:

Man. Tony that one was going to be a fight the whole time. I just decided to stop investing in it. Had it been past heat treat, I probably would have gone the other way.

Sometimes sacrificing to the {insert your profession here} gods is just the thing to keep the muses happy;)

Part of the way that I pad my bottom line in the swimming pool business is to refurbish old robotic automatic cleaners for people who want something that works at a cash price sold as is. No warranty but they cost them pennies on the dollar.

Sometimes, these old bots just aren't worth the time. I remember spending 5 hours elbows deep in one not too long ago. Worked and worked and worked on it. No matter what I did it only wanted to turn left and get stuck in the corner:confused:
Took it behind the "shed" and introduced it to a round of buckshot:D Could I have fixed it?...maybe. At the time it felt better:thumbup:

They are looking good Andy. Sorry 'bout the problem child, but the others look great.
