tsk tsk tsk. I do hope those safety glasses don't usually reside in that basket. ..we need your eyesight to keep those grinds on target. ;)

HOLY thick scaled Bushcrafters batman! If they are even thicker than my Cocobolo - wow!

By the way Dan - I am LOVING the 3rd generation Cocobolo knife. I got it shaving sharp tonight (took me about 4 hours on the diamond hones to get out the grind marks and get it to my liking - totally a preference thing) and MAN is that a knife!

It just WIPES away hair. Your grinds are more accurate than the first generation - the blade seems better balanced and lighter - even though it is an ounce heavier on the scale.

Sharpest knife I have ever had. Thanks for the good work.

TF

Thanks for the kind words.

Actually, this is how all the bushcraft knives look after glue-up. The only part of the knife that remains that thick is the fullest part of the palm swell....the rest is taken down considerably.

Dan 2nd pic, to the left and foreground of the Survivor... What are those blades, can't picture what knife that is in your catalog from the handle shape.

Dan can correct me if I am wrong, but, I think those are the W&SS Forum Neckers.

Disregard.......I stand corrected:thumbup::D

The WSS knives are at the waterjet guy's place. :D

Those are bushcraft blanks that I grind for Bushcraft Northwest.

I was contacted by the owner a while back and asked to do the grinding and finishing on the blades. We worked out a deal, and here they are. (technically, this is the 3rd set of blanks I've done...but the 1st "Official" run)

Very nice. Yes, I checked his website and can see that handle shape. Definitely different than yours. Hmmm, wonder if I should try one? :D

Aww man - those 01 blades are all rusty - I guess you are going to have to throw them out. Maybe finish a few and send them my way and I will dispose of them for you!

They look like crap now...but gimme a day or two...:D :foot:

Dan

Sometimes, I just take naps all day long...and the knives somehow make themselves.

Oh, my knifebot answers all my emails for me during my naps.

Dan, by the way - thanks for posting progress pics, it's pretty cool to see the different stages from beginning to end, I've never seen that stuff before.

Have the BushMasters come back from the CNC fella yet? Did they cause trouble like at the waterjet facility?

;)

Bad Bushmaster, no more breaking equipment.

Pretty freaking tough knives...
