Just thought I would update everyone interested on what has taken place. We have a good start going and I am continuing to get volunteers for keeping the discussion topics going.

So far we have a great list and I deeply appreciate the folks who have stepped forward to help out. During the next few weeks (I will be out of town for one of them) I hope to get in contact with others that are interested.

Don Cowles – Small Straight knives
Bobby Branton – Throwing Knives and Tomahawks
Rick Hinderer – Autos and use of CNC in making knives.
Max Burnett - Bowies
Jerry Fisk - Forging and Performance
Larry Chew – Autos
Rolf Friberg – Scandanavian styles and scrimshaw.
Jerry Hossum - Fighters
Paul Vandine - New Makers

If you would like to help out with the topics or if you know anyone that would, please let me know. gusk@bellsouth.net. Keep in mind we also need serious collectors to lend their expertise also.

In case you missed it the information on what we are trying to do is here.

The topic list is a guidline and is open.

If you are friends with someone and think they would enjoy adding their knowledge in this type of forum, please ask next time you are in touch. Even if a topic is covered the more that can stop in a check things out every once in a while the better discussions we will have.

Hope all of you and yours have a great weekend.
Gus

I think the opening topic that was picked is a great one. I can hardly wait for tomorrow.
Getting Jerry and Paul involved would be of huge interest to me.

Keith.

Gus,

Sounds great! Again, you seem to have stepped outside of the box...

Thanks for the effort!

Paul, Yes I think it would be a great addition to have a thread going on new makers.

Jerry, it would be fantastic if you had time to help keep the fighters area going. As well as other areas that you have interest in.

I am hoping that all of us will chime in when we have somthing that will add to the topic with the goal to have information exchanged that can be continusously refered and added to.
