Here is a progressive show of the knives I've successfully made.
Hacker 1 My first serious knife I've made. This is my general purpose, carry around town, and throwing knife. Its about as ugly as it gets, but keep in mind, this one has seen some serious use and abuse and is still in one piece, not to mention that I can nail a bullseye at 5 paces with this knife. 6 inch blade, 10 inch OAL
Hacker 2 Better version of hacker 1. I added a molding grip and used a thicker blade.
Razor Scrap: The blade for this knife came from a piece of scrap I rescued from the junk heap. Its a bit on the thin side and was just a general purpose knife. Nothing real special, except that I used wood pins instead of metal. I ended up selling this one for $35.
KMAG: My very first commisioned piece for the same guy who bought razor scrap. He wanted a similar knife idea with a different handle method. He paid $40 for this one.
Nameless: Never could come up with a good name for this one, so I just called in Nameless. More of a fantasy knife, but works pretty good, even for throwing.
Rail Road Spike Skinner: My first try at forging a knife from a rail road spike. Nothing fancy, just tried to pound out the metal in a blade like shape and wrapped with raw leather and laced together.
RR Spike Knife 2: My second rail road spike knife. Just a general purpose, double edged blade. The forward edge is longer than the back edge. Again, the grip is wrapped and laced in leather.
Double Edge Thrower: Just a throwing knife I decided to pound out from a piece of stock steel. I spread out the edges and gave it a pretty good full bevel for my first time. I also added some molded finger grips and wrapped the handle in laced leather.
Bear Claw: My absolute favorite knife I've made yet, for a cousin for christmas. I almost wish I hadn't given it away. The only new thing I tried was using copper tubing for rivets.
