I have just acquired a Project 1. It is marked #118. I really want to use this knife. But, if it is rare I don't want to mess it up. Any help would be appreciated.

Use It And Enjoy It....! Unless your a die hard collector and have box and all paperwork and its absolutely mint. Otherwise, use it and enjoy it.

That was made in the US right? If it had a lower number, I think it would have been made in SA making it much more collectible and much more rare.

It says made in the USA

You can use it, and it will still be worth quite a bit. However, if you got the knife for investment or collectability, then by all means don't use it.
