Project- "Chakana Cross" Deadlock, hand engraved and selectively anodized

Getting started on the next collaboration piece! Inspired by Gavin's recent trip to Peru, this very special "no-inlay" titanium "Deadlock" chassis is getting a traditional Incan "Chakana Cross" design with vibrant colors in a "tile mosaic" style...this is gonna be fun! This piece will be available at the Hawk Knives table at Blade Show in Atlanta next month!

Got the design transferred and the faux border laid out, time to start chipping away!

Got the first pass on the design cut, now I'll recut everything the other direction and even it out

Thinking about it I have long since proven that I have no concept of what will sell and what will not so I'm sure you / he are correct.

Surface finish work took most of the night, but I did manage to get a bit of anodizing done This is the most complicated multi-directional satin I've done to date...vertical, horizontal, both diagonals and circular making all the "tiles" shimmer with every movement
