Project II or MK II for Hiking/Camping

I am trying to decide between a Project II or MK II for camping/hiking purposes. I like the Project II but I'm afraid that it would be harder to carry while hiking. I usually carry a knife in the 5" category but also like the capabilities of the larger knife. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Everyone has their own personal preference. For hiking/camping a CR 5.5" blade is just right. I own a Mountain II. Not too big. Not too small. Just right.;)

For camping I personally like a large blade such as the Jeroboam MkII. As said it is all preference but I like the massive hacking abilities as it suits the rather dense forest I set up shop in.

I use my single guard shadow IV for everything...fire making and food prep. Not to big on the belt/pack and not to small for work.

I have the project II and love it I have mine attacked to my nalgene water
bottle holder and just sling it over my shoulder and away i go.
good luck in your search.
