That is just sweet. Freakin' awesome bro. ;)

What did you use to dc it?

Blasted it with 80 grit glass in my cabinet. Rough satin..then bead blast, my version of Jerry's DC. It's pretty darn smooth bro. Darn close to factory!:D

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your cabinet and compressor? Is that all that is needed?

Cabinet came from Harbor Freight ($100.00), compressor was from Sears ($500.00). The compressor I got is to run my air tools, for working on cars. I'm not sure you would need something it's size to do beadblasting, so I imagine you could go smaller and less expensive.

Looking good brother! Looking Good!:thumbup:

Excellent! That's a great ending to an already kick-a$$ project!

I think I saw on the other thread that you attached the reworked slabs while the coating was still on. I've been trying to catch a glimpse of it in your pics after you stripped it, peeking out from between the steel and slabs, but I don't see it at all. Maybe it's there and I just can't tell from the photos. Can you see it at all?

Thanks everyone...I had a good time doing it. :D

As far as the coating "peeking out", no you can't see it. Between the sanding and the bead blasting, there isn't anything showing.
