Sold my Project 2 last night - I had had the knife for about 7 years but as much as I really liked it, I never really used it as it was too big for what I need (usual camp craft uses). But, my Sebenza looks kinda lonely right now so what should I get to replace the Proj? Need to decide size first and so I can rule out Jereboams and Nkonkas (!) Guess Shadow IV or Mk IV could be about right (but which one of those?) Also, am wondering about how useful the Mk III might be - looks pretty dinky. Grateful for any thoughts, advice or piccies. Thanks all.

I have both a Shadow IV and Mountaineer II (both have blades of approximately 5.5") and find both to be solid, all purpose knives. I think you'll find that either will be handier than your former Project 2.

I like the smaller 4" blade models, too, but I find their handles a little too small for me. I think it would be interesting to have Shadow III or Aviator style (i.e., 4") blade mated to a Mountaineer II (or Shadow IV) handle. (I think the Finn's have got it right with some of their Puukko designs).

Maybe Ubejane - 4,5" long blade, long and comfortable handle similar like MK VI, almost like Project.

. . . a Neil Roberts -- it's very versatile, and exceedingly comfortable in my hand. you might also try a 5.5" Green Beret . . . I like the GB because of the serrations.

Best of luck in your search!

What about the Sable IV, I really like the looks of that one...seems like an all around good camp knife!
