Promaster 896 question

This may be a question for Phil..............
I was about to re-Ebay some extra knives, when I noticed that these two 896s have different serrated blades.
My catalogs show the top one as the regular production model, and I can't find any picture of a main blade being serrated as on the lower one. Factory error, or maybe the blade was meant to be used on a different line of knives?
I'm glad I noticed, cause this variation of the same model will add to my Promaster collection.

You are correct, the top one is production.
I have never seen a serrated clip point blade on a triple lock back.

My guess, factory error.
It's a keeper for sure!
