Pronounced Busse?

I was having coffee with a fellow knife fan yesterday and we were discussing the latest Busse I had just bought. I noticed that he pronounced it much differently than I did. He said Bus e and I said Boo z. So is the e silent and do you pronounce the u as an o or as you normally would a u as in bus? I find myself discussing his knives often lately and would like to pronounce his name correctly. Thanks for any help.

Huh? You talking infusion? I've only heard it pronounced In-Fuh.

The correct pronunciation is "In-Debt", as in

"I'm in debt from buying all this Boozey INFI!"

I've wondered about it before, but figured it wasn't important enough to warrant a new thread :D

i pronounce busse as ''booce'' with a silent e

and INFI as ''infee'' :)
 
i have never been able to bring myself to phenetically pronounce infi... i always state it as i-n-f-i
 
I thought you guys knew- INFI is short for INFIDEL...

as in "INFIdel defilers, they shall all drown in rivers of blood!" :eek:

Before I went to Blade last year and heard people pronouncing it correctly, I was pronouncing it "byoosee"....I think it was Voracious who corrected me after giving me the look as though he just heard fingernails dragging across a chalkboard. :foot:

Mike - In-Fee...INFI..pretty appropriate. :p

What does INFI really stand for?

Fussy - are you calling names here now? :D

In-fee eh? I always thought it was an acronym, abbreviation. Didn't even think it had a way to pronounce it.

Busse sounds like fussy... ok, now I know. Thanks guys. And yes I think how you pronounce a man's name is very important. I have enough people butcher my name to appreciate proper pronounciation.

Hehe, at shows, folks come up and ask "how do you pronounce your name, Bus-ee or Byoosee?"

My answer "Wood"....gets them every time...

I've always just pronounced it "Bry -An" is that right ;)

Count me in ;) :cool: The bonus at Blade is getting to play with all the toys the Hogs bring with them in addition to the ones at the show :D I'm already looking forward to next year :thumbup:

Of course, do you guys play for money or INFI? I can see the guys sitting around the room now. Mike starts off his hand of 7 card sayin' "I'll see your NO and raise you a SJ.".....Jody, with his best Jersey poker face......"I'll see your NO and raise you a SH" KAAK smirks and says, "I got your SH and I'll raise you a BM." Then Jerry's sittin' there with a royal flush in one hand, a bottle of blue label in the other, and a cuban hangin from his lips, grabs his tote full of Blade specials, dumps it on the table and tops it with a satin AK with giraffe handles. Then with a big grin on his face, says "CALL" and lays his cards on the table. Then Jennifer walks in and saves the day by making Jerry give back all the toys he took, plus all the Special knives and the AK. :p
