Well, Just so you know it is really real. Here is the test batch of BG-42 Ivory Micarta's from the top of a desk at the factory. Via Larry Oden. They ARE real. BCCI members are still receiving their catalogs and newsletter but orders are coming in. If you are seriously wanting one don't wait, go to BCCI website and get form from communication area, copy from March 2014 newsletter page and mail in to club address. Sorry non-BCCI guys only members, after all only 200 are being made.( I guess you could brag and say 'hand made"). 300Bucks

Will post close-ups of tangs later today.

Does anyone have an update on when these beauties are going to be shipped to the BCC members?

We expect delivery by late May which will allow June shipments to club members. We also hope to have some of them at the Blade Show. I may be carrying a 301 along with my normal EDC 347. 300Bucks will probably have his in a handy dandy neck sheath and wear it everyday in Atlanta.

I just love looking at the pictures of this knife. I got a thing for white handled knives and this definitely scratches that itch. I finally ponied up for the BCCI membership just so I could put my name on one of these. Should have done it several years ago so I could have gotten a heritage 501.

Folks, I have lost the Blade Show Hot Dog bet. These special folding knives are NOT, I repeat NOT sold out. We are barely half way there. I am sorry you have to order and then wait for a month but if you like 301s, are a BCCI member and think you can afford one, I would suggest you get one now. I am afraid you will never ever see another 301, or for that matter any 300, in BG42 or any other fancy steel maybe ever again. This is likely the most special 301 any of us will see in two dog's lives. I also suspect if we have some at the BladeShow they will be gone in an instant. FYI 300

I can't wait for mine!
Also, I am surprised more haven't been claimed yet......

I hope they sell out soon, because a 303 with burgandy (or even better, green) micarta in S30V would match the 301 nicely ;)

I'd be in line for that one too Chris...but the vibe that 300Bucks is laying down puts that right up there with Unicorn Hoof scales on a 110. I'm searching the sofa cushions and under my truck seat to come up with enough to buy two more of the 301's...

Here is an additional thought on this.....
If there are some left that go to the Blade show, and they sell the rest there.
Then mission accomplished!!
So if that is the case we can then have Craig lobby for the super sweet 303 ;)

Shoot.... aren't there still some other bcci knives mentioned on the club website that haven't finished selling out yet?

And put me one the list for a Unicorn 110 bwahahahahahaha!!

I'm waiting for my two... I sure hope they make a 303 with BG-42...

Come on everyone, buy one or more... ITE...:thumbup::thumbup:

Wow.

I am just now starting to appreciate the 300 series of knives, after many years of loving their lockbacks, and those knives look great. It would be nice to see some more pictures. I would really like to buy one of those 301's. Unfortunately, I just can't justify the BCCI membership fee on top of the cost of the knife. I do hope that they sell successfully so that Buck might consider it worthwhile to produce some for the general market. I am recently very drawn to the traditional knives, but the steel choices are really not that plentiful and I just can't get into the carbon steel, particularly when it comes to using with food. This fits the bill just right - good job Buck!

I think it would have been really nice if this version of the 301 had ffg grinds like the older 300 series had. However, surely that would be too big a change from the in production version to make, from a manufacturing perspective, for such a small run.

I love Bucks' BG-42 steel, I have ever since I got my 110MS Master Series back in the late 90's. I still have it and the steel is marvelous. I wish they still had offerings in this steel. The handle material is also a nice choice as well as the rivet fastening.

I can't believe you BCCI members are not snatching them all up...
