Propane regulator recommendation?

I have a 2 burner oval gas forge from Devil Forge and need a recommendation for a propane regulator. The regulator it came with is in Kpa and was a European adapter, so i had to switch it out for a grill regulator from the local home department store. the regulator is a standard 10psi regulator, not even sure if you can adjust the pressure fully (has no display just a nob to turn for on and off). I have been using it for a year now and have been able to manage fine for basic forging but I am having trouble getting up to forge welding temperatures, and getting the heat low for HT with these limitations.

Does anyone have a specific type of regulator they prefer or a brand they could recommend? what do you think is a good range? 0-10psi? 0-20psi?

Also does anyone know if the big name home department stores carry propane tanks bigger than the standard grill size? I have been forging more often and I'm finding the smaller tanks to be quite limiting.

thanks for helping,
Kevin

some use a 20 some a 30psi, doubt 10 is up to snuff for a burner .tractor supply has 100# tanks, then the question is will your local company refill them, some will some wont. this will mean you have to take it have it filled and bring it home. 100 pounders are heavy so ask your supplier before you go that big. I use a 20 one an atlas mini and a 30 on a home built 10inch stainless pipe forge it has a 4 x 8 chamber and can remove a plug and go to 4x12.

The two big name big box home improvement stores in my area sell new lp tanks and have the pre-filled switch outs. If you have someone local to refill it can save you much in cost per gallon.

The prior workshop had a stationary tank but had to discontinue it when the building was expanded, the tank could not attain min. distance away from the structure and keep it on our property. We switched to use 100pounders. Taking them in to fill.
Always have a full tank on hand for rotation.
