Proper break-in of the frame lock

My first XM-18 is set to arrive Friday and it will also be my first frame lock. Is there any special break-in type procedures I should be aware of and any special places to keep lubed or dry to facilitate the break-in? I can't wait to hold the beast for the first time. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure you could throw it onto the interstate, leave it for a few days, come get the knife and it would still function beautifully

Well, that's good to hear. I think I will baby it though until if and when I need to really abuse it.

mine did not require any break in.

No break in required. These come ready to rock. No 2000+ slam opens before they work.
