Proper care & feedeing of axes...

A few days ago I picked up a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe. I was so happy with it that I picked up a Snow and Neally double bit axe.
These are the first nice axes I have had. I am concerned with the proper care of them after use. After I use them for limbing, chopping kindling, or splitting small wedges of wood into smaller ones, what is the best way to clean them up? They'll be in their leather sheaths of course.
What do y'all do to clean them up and preserve them? WD-40? Break Free? What?

Thanks for any help.

I usually just wipe mine off, normally on my pants, and spray a very light coating of PB blaster on them. I get the PB from work and use very little as it is hell on leather over time. I only do this if I am going to store them for a long time, if I plan on using it again in say a couple of weeks or less I just wipe it off and put it back in the sheath. I hope this helps.

BTW PB blaster and WD-40 are pretty similar and I have heard great things about AG Russell's rust free but haven't used it yet.

Greetings: I am just a rookie on axes and have not even read the complete axe book, yet. I opted for Hoppes 9 light oil. Let me know if this is a great catastrophe...I would appreciate suggestions from Gransfors Bruks, along with some English instructions on the Axe maintenance products ( round sharpening stone, diamond sharpener with sheath )....hope it's in the book, but if you guys have the axes and don't know what is suggested, then, the book must not have mentioned it...

I was just wondering if the round sharpening stone needed to have oil...sorry for hijacking this thread, but yours is a good question, too. I will tell you, I even used semi-chrome polish to clean a Marbles #9 Belt Axe.
