Well for those paying attention I acquired a few blades in the last couple months that I really didn't have room to hang on the tool board, they are pretty tools so it makes for a pretty tool board.

So I acquired more hooks and set about tightening up the hanging pattern so I could make efficient use of the rapidly deteriorating space.

As you can see I think there's enough room for about 26 more up high where I can't reach. I've strived to keep everything where I can get at it without begging for assistance.

Some photo's to warn newcomers of what the HIKV contagion entails. I said it couldn't happen to me, that I was in complete control, but I was WRONG. Very happy! But WRONG.

Top half

Bottom half.

I still have the other half of that piece of peg board, just need to figure out a place to hang it. I don't think I'm done yet.

Wife thinks I'm beyond done but I don't agree.

Well somebody has a problem huh.......LOL dang dude your collection is exploding, might have to move some of them rifles to make room, but it looks great man.

You could stack the rifles pyramid style to make room for more knives on the wall. Or is that sacriligious? I'm not that much into gun culture, though I can see the appeal. Many knives, a few clubs and one gun is enough for me.

Lucky for you that you really don't need that second piece of peg board, PIC. By performing some space relationship calculus in my head, I figure you actually have enough room for 37 more blades on the board you already have up. That means that you can tell Momma you have saved her some money from not having to buy more peg board. Then slowly and quietly start whimpering that there is this particularly nice little khuk that needs adopting and since you have room...keep the decibiles low and be sure to have practiced your pore ol' sad hound dog/puppy dog wistful eyes look at her (and smile ever so little whilst yer doing it). Put a drop of glycerin (or crazy glue if you got no glycerin) on your cheek to look like a solitary tear. Gits'em ever time, I tell you. THEN! When you get them new 37 khuks mounted, whip out that second piece of peg board and start the soulful eyes and whimperin' routine again. Saved her sum money again!! It'll work, I tell you. I'm heading down Texas way to see kamidog for a Guinness and a Butterfinger while you practice up. Let us know when you get out of the...uh, how you make out.

I'd love to display my kukris like that but can't because

1. I don't have that much wall space
2. I live in earthquake country
3. My wife will discover how many knives I actually own...

I'd love to have some pegboard to do that, but an old gun cabinet is sufficing for my axes/knives, although my collection is fast outgrowing my storage.

I'm really glad I did the track system. When I push it back behind the wall it's kind of out of the wife's sight and out of her mind.

Still easy to just pull out whenever I want. One of the better idears I ever come up with, ok the first and only good idear but it was good.

OK! Im back from the grocery store! Got butterfingers, Guinness, maple syrup, B&J ice cream, and bacon! Ill put the ice cream outside till ya get here Bookie. Were gonna make us some Elvis shakes! I use Guinness instead of bananas. Mmmmm! Carrot juice is good to. My Jamaiki friend taught me that mon!
Im with ya. I think he has plenty of room on that board. Super glue eh? Hmmm? It does dry clear:thumbup:

Dirtb...your a wise man! No.3 should be no. 1 though;)

That is a wonderful sight Bawanna. Right up there as winner of Best use of pegboard award. I would hate to disagree with Bookies mental calculationizing so I will just say I think you can sure get a couple more at least up on that if you just shut out everything else and listen to the HIKV side of The Force. It will provide inspiration to you if you let it :D

btw is that a pukko in the leather sheath with what looks like ivory hanging down on the bottom half? Sure would love to see that one's picture out of the sheath.

DB, I agree with NDog. Never let the spouse know how far gone the HIKV is should be #1 on the otherwise great list.

I don't rightly know what a pukko is so probably not. I think I see what your talking about. I'll get a picture of that when I finish my chores this morning.

It was my father in laws, from Sweden, like a fish knife I think. Maybe that's a pukko?

I'll be baaaack.

Wow Joe, what a collection! My humble shelf of khuks is dreaming of one day growing up into a wall display...one day...the good thing is my khuks are in my walk in wardrobe so I don't have direct sight to them, but at least twice a day I'd open it up and play with them haha if I had a wall full? I wouldn't leave it alone :D

At least they would fall mostly straight down.

Here in tornado country they would be flying through the house and neighborhood.

I actually give it a good shake as I'm hanging them from time to time and try to get them in a position where they will stay. The Purna Yek Chirra gave me a bit of a tussle during the shake test but I got it.

Also when the wall is slid back in not many could actually fall, the hooks are very close to the wall, so they might tip over and some probably would fall but most would stay close to where they belong.

And if they fall, just all the more reason for me to hold them, fondle them and contemplate life in general. Always look for the curved blade in everything in life.

I think a "rifle rack" type thing would be nice, I want my khuks to look ready for the militia to grab one. as it is my pegboards never last long for nice things, as I am always paranoid they will be hurt, though the wall of weapons is a worthy goal for all collectors-- we need a HI buckler so we can point our khuks at it on a wall.

A rifle type rack would be tough, I thought on it. They are all so different, length, girth, bend, tough to make a rack that would work for all.
The peg board allows me to adjust as needed and for me the big plus is I can grab anyone I want, anytime without moving any others.

I make dumpster furniture. Here is an oak khukri podium I use to make offerings to the Khuk gods. It does need some more shelving around it. Im running out of podium space:D

And of course the Reti front and center like a cup of salt in a Ang Kola full swing slice.

I'm ok, really. Well physically, well not so much physically either I guess, maybe I'm not really ok at all.

Maybe I should see Bookies counselor?

Bawanna, I am THE counselor. Take two aspirin and see me in the morning. The challenge has been accepted! Gehazi's thrown down the gauntlet! (Wish he'd throw the other one, too, as I need a pair.) Me got'em walnut. Me gonna make'm itty-bitty khuk sized rifle rack. Non-adjustable, but for various size khuks. Maybe 6 to 8 blades for a starter...and maybe a little shelf at the bottom for a certain super-special, one of a kind MMB (you have permission to go look that up on the abbreviation list) and it's just as super-special one of a kind pair of pants. I'm still overwhelmed with the knife and it's rig, guys! Thanks a lot.....wow. I sound like a nice guy. Heat musta got to my head or something, eh?
