more simple construction, stronger resistance to over-extension because of the stop-pin, quicker opening and deployment, and (i think) greater overall reliability.

?que todos ustedes que dicen?

I prefer lock back to pretty much every other type.
All the other ones are fine and all but given the choice all my locking knives would be lockback.

and those spydie lock backs are truly ambidextrous

No thank you, no way, no how. There are plenty of liner locks out there, keep your darn paws off my midlocks.

I am always happy to get a backlock. I have lots of good liner locks but a back lock has a lot of advantages.

No finicky little mechanism to get gunk in,
blade channel much easier to clean.
No slipping too far over.

Don't even need a lock at all, like my UKPK.

No you're getting it wrong, if you want a good everyday user that lasts 3+ generation, lock back is the only way I will take it.

I love my mid-locks when I'm gonna abuse the knife I'm using. There are plenty of Spydie options with liner locks. But leave me some mid-locks for hard use situations. (Says a guy with a Sebenza in his pocket)

How much give is in FRN handles? I could be wrong (only FRN-handled knife I have at the moment is a Squeak), but I suspect there would be too much give on FRN w/out a steel liner (almost a prerequisite for the liner lock side).

Lol! You might as well strap your Sebe on your wrist and wear it like a watch!

I've been carrying my Dragonfly and Tasman a lot lately, and I use 'em. I cut tree branches with the Tasman (SE), and it's held up far better than I imagined it would. No complaints from either one.

You're obviously messing with the wrong crowd here. :p
Might as well tug on Superman's cape.

Agreed with the consensus to leave well enough alone. The Endura definitely is not broken and needs nothing fixed. While I do love my Gayle Bradley, the simplicity and ease of the Endura's lock is a no brainer.
