You would get more information in the Buck subforum we have. But its a great little knife, comfortable, good blade shape, lanyard hole and a good sheath.
My only con would be a lack of pocket clip.

The rosewood version has the better steel (ats-34 I think) but the low cost version has Bucks 420HC which is really still a great steel, easy to sharpen with good holding ability.

ive had it a while and carried it daily for along time, some have complained about the sheath although i like it and havent had a problem with it, but it can be carried in the pocket too, maybe a bit large for some (in pocket), over all the knife when closed is not all that large though andalot smaller than the other alphas.
The ergonomics are darn near perfect in hand (i have large hands) even with it being a smaller knife, the blade shape is excellent, very useful.
Really is one of my favorites, im sure the 420 like yours would be excellent too!
good luck and happy holidays!

I love my Dorado, I got it from a Bass Pro store. It has the cpm 154 steel and Bos heat treating. It's been my edc since I got it a few months ago. :D

At the price you quote, it's a very reasonable buy.

I have the basic model and the one with 154, actually prefer the basic version, seems to do all you need. It's OK in the hand and well-finished but I find it rather heavy for a relatively small knife.Goes well in a day-pack though and it's an interesting looking knife.
