Protech Integrity folder

I'd love to handle one. But, as the production is limited to 10 per month, and the base price is $500, I'd go for a Decorated/Unique graphics large Sebenza. If you really like the design, I wouldn't hesitate to get one from Protech, as their quality can't be beat, and for these hand-ground knives, I don't think you could be disappointed. For myself, though, I would add $25, and get a custom Darryl Ralph frame-lock, or the Sebbie.

I've got one, blade by W.R.Clark. Gray titanium handle. Very nice knife. I traded into it NIB. It's not quite a Sebenza but it's close, and a bit sleeker.

I've had a couple, I thought the same thing you did, that I would get a unique Sebenza-class knife for the same or less money. Unfortunately, the fit and finish on both were far below Sebenza level. The blade was difficult to open when adjusted properly and the lockup wasn't where I wanted it. The handle didn't take to daily use very well, I guess the finish was meant more for looks. It's a good looking knife, I know you will not run into anyone else carrying one (if that is important to you), you should get one if you get a really, really good deal. Otherwise, stick with the tried and true, knife users compare everything to the Sebenza for a good reason.

I'm actually impressed with the action on mine. It opens smoothly and quickly and locks up perfectly with a click. But it can't bump my Sebenzas out of the rotation, it's too much like them in style but just not up to CRK standards.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I've ALWAYS wanted a TR-3 (auto) but can't on account of where I live. I felt that the integrity could fill the TR-3 and Sebenza void all in one shot. From what you're saying it looks like a great folder, but not up there with Sebenzas. Well maybe if a Brinks truck takes a wrong turn sometime soon, I might be able to get both :D
