This is as close as I'll come to carrying a real Pro-tech in CA. I love the craftsmanship, the size and the S35VN steel. Not that I'm dissatisfied with my Kershaw Link 20CV or the ZT 0357.
Does anyone else notice a Jens Anso influence in the design?
Any opinions on the matter..?

I like mine, but I'll note that it has a bit of front-to-back blade play. Not noticeable in use, but easily detectable with a somewhat firm wiggle at the tip.

I wound up sort of accidentally doing an informal "survey" of 6 total examples across 3 dealers, and they all had the same minor amount of play.

I wonder if it'd due to the LERCH locking system..?

That was my conclusion, although when I chatted directly with Pro-Tech about it they didn't say the mechanism was designed to have a small amount of play. So it's just my take and not anything official.

This knife fires hard and feels like a side-opening auto, not like any other assisted knife I've owned. It's a neat design.
