Here is something fairly new from Pro-Tech The TR-III (Tactical Response III Auto].(pardon the scan)
These sport a 3.5" blade, 154 CM bead blast, black Ti, with about 8" overall length. I must admit...these autos kick like a mule! My first impression was that the action felt like the Microtech LUDT. The handles are a smooth aluminum and come with a SS pocket clip for "tip-up" carry. A sheath or lanyard is not included. I attached these lanyards myself to these. They feel extremely nice in the hands and are very comfortable to carry in the pocket. And that Jazz colored handle was the first knife I have opened up and all my girls and wife said.."Coooooooool"
So....I guess maybe the women might like it......who knows....

The prices on the Bead Blast Version would be:

$124 - Black Handle
$130- Jazz Handle

*I imagine the black bladed version would be maybe $5-$10 more, but I have not seen any yet. These are 1st production runs also

i saw both of these knives at the gun/knife show this weekend at mike's booth/tables...he has described them very accurately and they are NICE....the workmanship is first rate and the spring/action is like the proverbial "kick of a mule"....these are a great value for the money....i cant wait to see the black blade versions....thanks....feverdoc

Extremely tight Dennis. I am a big MT fan as yourself, and the ProTech(especially these) are at or near MT quality. I am very impressed.

Benchnut, the ergonomic feel of this blade in the hand is very nice, which Emerson is known to have great ergonomics as well. A small kraton rubber insert on that black handle would be a nice addition I think, however, it would destory the look on the "Jazz" handle version.

Here is a pic of the Runt Model with the Jazz handle. This is a high polished blade with polished harware as well, although it appears the blade is "black" from the scan.

They have been out for a little while now. Do you know if the lockup still good after extended use? I am very seriously considering one as a duty knife.

I'll second that inquiry . . . I've looked around the sight and have not found an extended use report.
