I paid for a membership but am still showing as a Registered User

You need to change your Group Membership listing. Click on the User CP link at the top left of this page, then click on the Group Membership link at the bottom left. Select your appropriate group membership that you'd like displayed. (In your case, Gold)

You can also Click Here to do the same thing.
 
Paid or not spamming the discussion forums is in poor taste and not allowed.
