I have a mobile sharpening service and use mostly paper wheels mounted in a van. Should I use some kind of respirator or is a dust mask enough protection?
Thanks for any input.

I've ground a lot of metal in my day with no respirator, I seem to be fine.

I just use goggles when using the paper wheels. Don't inhale purposefully and just keep everything as clean as possible. You should be fine.

What kind of ventilation & filtration do you have in the van? Accumulating metal dust and polishing compounds inside the van and then breathing that air isn't good for your health in the long term. Look up metal grinder's lung.
