Proto BOSS Streets - what edge should I put on it?

I am fairly good at convexing and I have an Edge Pro. So any question of "which are you better at" is moot.

The BOSS Streets proto's came with a pretty fat rough edge. So I'm looking to take it back a bit and get it nice and polished.

What's you're opinion? Convex or just a flat bevel with a Edge Pro? And why?

Thanks.

Dennis

I have a nice 15 degree per side edge on mine and it works very well for me. :)

If it's too fat you can thin it out to like 10 degrees per side and then do a 15 degree micro bevel.

I have always been a fan of the convex edge because I find that it is far easier to maintain out in the field when I’m using the knife. If I’m out for a few days all I need is a strip of sandpaper that I can lay on my thigh and I can fix the edge at any time. Total additional weight in a pack is a few grams.

THIS^^^^^^^

IMO the easiest way to maintain a knife in the field. That and the fact that I like the functionality of convex edges much more.

Buy two new cg boss streets from Busse, convex one, leave or improve on the v grind on the other. Test each, see which you like better, send me your proto. :D

I have always like convex grinds and edges better, for their ease of resharpening AND performance.
