Hi all,

I wanted to share with you a new design for me and also my first full Ti framelock.

Don't have a name for this one yet, I'm open to suggestions:)

Blade: 3/16" stock 1095 with a tumbled finish (will do future ones in D2 most likely, and some stainless)
Handle scales: .100 Ti Framelock (will probably use .125 in the future)
Orange G10 backspacer

OAL: 6 3/4"

I think this folder handles really well. I've been carrying it a few days and really like it. So far so good on a solid lockup and it has a nice early lockup that has taken several good spine whacks;)

I do have some .73 Ti that I will use for the next couple
I make. I'll do those as a liner lock while I work out some bugs on the design.

here's some crappy iPhone pics.. Let me know whatcha all
think! A special thanks to Chacon is in order as well;)

Thanks for looking!

Really like that one.... how much? or PM me.. I'd like to discuss one for myself if possible..

PS. For name.. keep it simple... The JRP "Tank"

Man- that is REALLY cool. Looks built to last. Name: Brutus Maximus. ;)

Is this something that will be for sale soon?

I really like this! Great work, I would love to see it with a swedge. Great use of the orange G10.

I like it a lot. Love the spacer. Don't go thicker on the Ti scales. Just my 2 cents.
I'm also curious what the price will be.

Thanks guys!

None for sale... yet, I need to get caught up on current orders, but yes, I will eventually
be taking orders for these as well as listing some in the Makers For Sale
forums.

Thanks again! I really appreciate the feedback!

Quick pics of #2:)

This one is all work!

I finished this one out with a bit of a primitive finish.
Raw bar texture on the blade flats, 220 on the bevels. It went right into the tumbler after tempering cycles.

I made a mess of the liner, it functions perfectly but I wouldn't sell it, just because I have a "larger than I would like" hole in the liner at on end of the lock cut. Really sold lock on this one and the detent is great...lots of suck:)

Beadblasted GCM handles and backspacer with a single .072 Ti liner, also beadblasted. I love how the milling of the GCM scale and relief on the liner matched up perfectly! Total accident, but it sure made me happy:)

I love a good Sheepsfoot and there is a lot of blade to handle ratio on this one.

No pocket clip, but it carries real nice in loose in the pocket. That jimping on the underside of the tang...the blade needed a little additional material taken off there as it stuck out of the frame just a hair, I decided on the checkering, just gives a little more grip for your index finger.

Thanks for looking and the feedback.

Couple quick iPhone pics on a rainy day here.

I do also love this one.
This shape of blade is IMO perfect for EDC also if small larger than usual.

Keep postin man!

That first one is impressive!!

Personaly I'd be in the market for one with the thicker Ti. Plus the 1095 or an O-1 blade. There is an unfulfilled market out there for baldes of this design with high quality carbon steel blades.

I carry a Ti framelock at this time with S30V blade but I much prefer a carbon steel blade.

Let me know when you have some of those Ti-Frame locks ready for delivery... I'll take one if they are reasonably priced.
Congrats on a fine frame lock edc!

I really like that sheepsfoot!

Have you noticed any rusting issues after regular pocket carry? I'm thinking about starting my first folder in a few months, but I'm hesitant to use 1095 on a folder. Thanks.

I like a lot
bery god job,
I use the .100 TI on my frame lock. whit a .125 blade
and work just fine.

best regards
