Kinda rough but you get the idea.
I took my Micro Bleach model and made one out of D2, wrapped it with jute and made up a basic leather neck sheath for it. I got a bit carried away with the beeswax
I got some ferro blanks from bensbackwoods and tossed a natural micarta handle on one for this project. I plan to use the balled up jute to braid a neck lanyard for the sheath. I am not 100 % happy with this style of sheath to hold the ferro rod. Gotta rethink it a bit.
All that is left is to attach a piece of fatwood to it and it is done.
The D2 throws a wicked spark off the ferro, I hope to get some fire starting pics with it this weekend(here's to hoping it warms up around here too) My plan/idea is that I have everything I need to get a fire started in this package. Jute, fatwood and spark
Your thoughts???
