There has been a lot of talk about the Fiddleback Camp knife recently. Mine has been in need of a sheath and a friend ordered a custom sheath for his, so I figured that I would make a Prototype for his approval. Specs:

Modified pouch style sheath, made from 8-10oz Brown Saddle Skirting. Double stitched by hand with Artificial Sinew. Standard belt loop, Tie down loop, Shackle and Dangler loop. Black edging all around and sealed with two coats of Montana Pitch Blend Leather Dressing. Custom fitted and wet formed to the Camp knife. Sloped mouth.

I've been wearing this sheath off and on for the last 9 days and really like the way it carries.

Here are some pictures of the Unfinished sheath, taken right after the leather dried from Wet forming:

That's beautiful work Heber. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

Thanks Lou! I'm glad you like the Prototype design. Your Rounded tip version is cut out. Tomorrow comes the detail work and maybe some of the assembly.

:thumbup:That's a real nice looking sheath Heber. Makes me want to get a camp knife. :D
