Howdy all, this oner is a prototype handle with a blade of CPM 10V at 64.5 RC. The blade is a high/full hollow with a mirror-ish polish. The handle is the unique part. I credit Jerry Hossom who I have the honor of calling a friend. Years ago we discussed the application of ergonomics over pure aesthetics in knife design. This is inspired by that conversation. I took my drop point edc pattern and covered the tang in model clay, then grabbed it to see how it would look as a handle. This is the first iteration of that experiment...there will be refinements. I plan on carrying and using this one for a bit to see how I can improve the grip.

Handle is maroon linen micarta with tuxedo G10 liners, titanium corby, titanium/brass mosaic lanyard tube and 1/16" titanium pins.

Aaahhh! I luv the ass on that piece😜!.... Really looks comfy...... Looking forward to hearing about this knife and its progression!!! Nice job!!!!!

got a second version polished out (also 10V). Handle shape has been tuned to provide a bit more comfort in the hand. Thinking an OD Green Linen Micarta, with orange G10 liner and natural linen micarta liners...Opinions?

👍👍👍

This blade looks great! Ergos seem excellent, for the right hand, blade steel and HT sound enticing...and it seems like a nice tree 🌳 finger hold and room for the little guy usually left out or hanging in mid air 🤭.

Also, the ODG, orange, and nat lin mic sound like a nice combo (a little, but not too much, hi viz if somehow the knife departs your hand).

Would like to see or hear about a few more handle options (colors) as you progress...keep it up!

Looks great Navman. One question, has someone else handled blade yet, and if so, how does it feel to them? Or, are you developing a kit that you send to buyer. A ball of clay and plastic knife blank. 🤑
Now that’s custom!!
Awesome job!

Quick update...been carrying this daily for the past few weeks. Noticed that the handle was a tad too thick, so have addressed that issue and tuned it for comfort. Also, on future handles I have lowered the swell to better accomodate indexing the second finger for more control.

The blade has held up well, no staining yet, cutting wood, meat, veggies, paper, cardboard, plastic strapping and cigar caps. I do wipe it down after each use. Edge is still razor sharp. Overall, I am really liking this handle shape for a smaller EDC knife.

Looking forward to getting a few into the hands of others to get unbiased feedback.
