Hello to All, Here I have a prototype sort of tactical/skinner folder. The pivot pins need to be countered a bit deeper and the screws need to be a little closer to the surface. Other than that its pretty close to finished. As you can see I put a swell in the handle for feel and it gets a little cooler affect out of the G10 layers. I modeled it after my humpback hunter. It is IKBS and very smooth and locks up perfectly. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

The Blade is 154cm .169 thick and 3.5 tip to bolsters and almost 8 in. O/A. I'm Hopin you like it. Thanks for looking. Alan

Alan, I think it looks great. I can't find a single thing to make a suggestion on. Great work!
 
Alan, It looks real nice. I like the swell and the blade shape. A few suggestions , a dual thumbstud would be useful and appeal to more folks. Stand offs instead of the back spacer would make it even easier to clean than it is already. tapping holes for LH carry is always a plus.There seams to be an rising tide of opinion that IKBS is only useful on flippers and more of a pain than it is worth otherwise. This is coming from a southpaw that has never made a folding knife in his life though.

Most excellent comments. It is what I am looking for. IKBS is also a pain in making a prototype or my second folder, which is what this is. Absolutely, a flipper will be next with the internal stop pin And I will take head to your dual thumb opener as well for non flipper. Also, I wanted to do a palm swell on some of my folders because although I'm sure it has been done I have not seen one with. I have not yet found a belt clip I like yet so will have to make them I'm guessing. Didn't think of ease of cleaning so thats another good one. Thanks again Man. Alan
