I know that this belongs in the sheath forums, however I am seeking input from members who have experience with a Hatchet/Ax and by only posting in the sheath forum it will seriously limit the advice I am seeking as I doubt that some of the members of this forum look at the sheath forum.
I understand if it has to be moved, I am hoping that it doesn't though.

I have had this design rattling around in my head for awhile but did not have a hatchet to try it on.
I received the Jens Anso Ax about a week ago with free rein to build a retention system that could be carried via Tek Lok or Molle Lok's.
The sheath has Level II retention, deploys quickly and can be carried reliably with the lock disengaged.
I would welcome any input or questions from any of you that have experience carrying
a hatchet.

Thanks Much in advance.

Edwood7:
It deploys from the top of the sheath, lift up just enough for the head to clear the sheath and the hatchet is good to go.

I like the look of it! I'd have to see it in person to pass final judgment, but I don't think my opinion of it would change for the worse!:thumbup:

Looks good. If you could do molle attachments it would broaden the versatility of it. Be cool to just snap an axe to your pack.

Thanks Much.
Shotgun:
It is set up for Molle Lok's, just remove the Tek Lok and bolt on 2 Molle Lok's and it is good to go.

Ah. Is it stable with the molle locks so close together? Seems like it would rock back and forth.

The Molle Lok's extend down through 2 sets of loops and and are just a bit smaller than the loops themselves so there is not much play.
