As a joke, my brother gave me an old jackknife he found in his garden. This knife had been lost for at least 50 years. I managed to get it apart, etched the master blade in vinegar to find the stamp and by posting my findings in Bernie Levine's forum, I was informed it was imported from Germany between 1909 & 1920 by the Lenox Cutlery Co., N.Y.
This prototype was inspired by the old one. The only changes from the original is the swaging on the pen blade. Notice the back pin is on the inside of the springs as on the original.

PS...I need to add that since this is my first knife with more that one blade, I sought and got help from Ken Coats, Ken Erickson, and Todd Davison. They were quick to answer any questions I had. Thanks guys.
Specs:
3 5/8" closed,
1095 blades & springs,
Brass liners,
Nickel silver bolsters, bone scales.
