Just a teaser photo of a stone currently in development. First ones were too soft and mudded up quickly (a pain when trying to apex an edge) but I'm liking how this one turned out and I'm going to continue testing it to make sure it's as dialed in as I'd like it to be. Cuts fast and slurry-free without loading up. Polishes well when used with a pool of water on the surface and apexes well when used without a pool. Ceramic bonded white aluminum oxide.

how does this compare to the MUTT? (i really havent used the mutt that often tbo, but thats just cause i forgot where i put it, and now that ive found it im giving it to a friend to borrow).

Completely opposite end of the spectrum. 3µ is J4000, ANSI 1500 or FEPA 1200. Quite fine. The American Mutt stones are extra coarse with fine grit mixed in that sort of polishes up and blends in the coarse scratches.

Nice!
Did I see something on the Artic Fox was going to be offered in a bench stone size? Need something for my fish cleaning station.

Great stuff again! Also thanks for the quick email reply regarding shipping costs to Canada - great customer service !!

Looking forward to this one, but is there any way to alter the color of the stone, or is it strictly based on the color of the substrates? From as aesthetics standpoint, I dislike white stones. Particularly when they are close in color to the next step up in grit (Arctic Fox).

They're strictly colored based on the base grit, sometimes influenced by binder. Orange aluminum oxide stones, for instance, use white grit with a bond that happens to be orange in color.

These will be known as the Ptarmigan series once finalized.
