I decided to make a prototype to use for a pattern for the new No Name Friction Folder. It`s 7 3/4" open, with about a 3 1/4" blade. It features a bottle opener, and the end of the tang can be ground into a screwdriver tip. I made this out of aluminum.

Nice looking pattern John. Looks to be comfy in hand, and I like the cap lifter.
I bet the screwdriver tip would find its uses too.

Would you make it with different grinds? I wonder if a scandi on this model would be useful? What about different micarta handles? Very cool.

I would do scandi and full grinds. Different colors of micarta would be available.

Now you are talking!! Any idea of price or still figuring out how that would be with the choice of materials? What is the blade height/profile on the aluminum? What do you think of a thinner blade profile, but still a drop point?

In O1 price in black, tan, or green, is $153 shipped. Blade height is about 7/8". I would prefer to leave it that size.

looks pretty good - I like the blade profile - not convinced it needs more than that first finger scallop.

This was supposed to be a folding version of the No Name, finger grooves and all.
It also reminds me of the old Gerber Folding Magnum Hunter.
