Prototypes?

I know I am Johnny-come-lately(Hah!), but I have never seen or heard of any Busse prototypes here. Who's got them? I never see them for sale or trade, is it because people who have them are going to get rid of them, or are they just not in circulation?

Also keep an eye out for "Apprentice" knives. The most common ones I've seen have been without a talon hole (or have it ground off) and cord wrapped, but a few variations pop up now and then...

I've got a pic of the prototype straight-handled BM I believe. I also have a pic of the prototype ZT SJ IIRC. Oh yeah, and the BB3 prototype (sort of), an apprentice knife. I'll see if I can find them.....

All I have is an Apprentice Badger. I had black and yellow micarta handles added - it is a sweet piece, but no prototype, at least not that I'm aware of!

I'd like one, though!!!

I got the micarta from a local knifemaker, it was a sample he picked up at Kovals. They have no more either, I asked . I just thought it was ideal for the knife.

Jerry asked me where I got it too, when I sent it to him for "evaluation". The Forumite I traded it from was told it was INFI, and I wanted to confirm or dispel that - it isn't, Jerry says it's A2.

I really like it because the handles are nice and thick, and SHARP! - the blade, not the handles...
