So far it looks like my daughter will be attending MICA, Maryland Institute College of Art this fall. This is the top Art school in Maryland and ranked in the top 10 in the country. I'm excited to see her pursue an art career. This was my dream when I graduated. It just didn't work out.
She graduates high school in June.

That is very cool Scott, congratulations. My wife got her degree from Cal Poly for Graphic Design. What is your daughter interested in?

I bet you are proud. It sure is tough watching kids grow up, while at the same time it gives us a sense of pride seeing what they have become:thumbup:

Sigh, thank god I have a while before either of mine head off to College.... gonna be a tough day for me.

Congrats Scott, and to your Daughter. And as far as pursuing Art, well I think it worked out just Fine, just take a look at that Kephart you sent me. :)

Cheers!

Congratulations!:D

My very youngest daughter did much the same ... she's been at VCU's Art School for two years now. I was hesitant at first, but she's done extremely well and I've never seen her so motivated. She's doing great.

May the very same be true for your daughter.

Thanks, right now she wants to write and illustrate childrens books. Her art work is outstanding and would have potential at any form of art. She has a 4.30 grade average and was able to get a wonderful scholarship package from the college.
I did alot of art work when I was younger but never could afford to put myself though school.
I practiced taxidermy for 8 years and finally settled on knifemaking which is also a form of art.

Congratulations all around. Great that she is pursuing her dream:thumbup:
