Wnet to Gatlinburg for a carving class this weekend, so on the way out I stopped by Smokey Mtn Knifeworks and some how talked the little lady into getting me a ESEE-3 for fathers day.

I cant wait to get it the woods and try it out

The 3 is a great knife, it slices like a dream. I carry mine a lot now days, especially on short hikes, quick outings, and photo shoots. I pair it up with a heavier knife for longer hikes...then I usually swap those out for a HEST and an Izula on my urban wanderings.

Grats ! Just got mine Fri. in Desert Tan. What a great knife ! Wait till you do feather sticks with it !!

Nice! SMKW is a great place to visit and go to. When I go to Pigeon Forge my first stop is always there. My wife's family thinks I am crazy...

I tried to talk my wife into the same thing.

No go.

But I was able to get some Izula scales and an ESEE fire kit instead. Not a bad consolation!

Congrats!
