I am so proud of how bg-42 treated by Chris passing the test of time. Opening oysters is not an easy job.

Now who keeps is own BG-42 ?

I bought a BG42 Sebenza in 1999 and have put it through moderate use. I've never even been able to dull the factory sharpening job it came with! I do have two other S30V knives (a CRK GB and a Scott Cook Owyhee Hunter) but see no reason to drop the BG42 for S30V on my Sebenza -- I'm not sure I'd be trading up!

I have an old large regular in BG-42. It was a my utility carry folder ~ and did massive quantites of "utility" stuff. :D

I've been rather impressed by its performance.

And, it's one of my most cherrish knives !

I've got a Sebenza and 2 Bucks in BG42 ( bucks probably heat treated by Paul Bos himself as these were made in 1998)Good stuff. For the record, I also like my small Sebenza Classic in S30V.
