I am a fan of the two piece handle, so I've had my eye on the Proxy for awhile. When I saw these for only 180 shipped had to go for it. It's a good flipper, a bit slower than the fastest, but still imo just fine. Sharp and even out of the box, no blade play, great steel. No complaints I don't even mind the brown G-10!

Yep, I know it's a deal. But, that was off ebay and only one place had them at that price. Most I see are 250.

Very nice Jill, that's a great looking blade. Congrats on the great deal also👍

Congrats on a great score!

I really like mine. I posted in a tread about it a while back. I like that it's slim, but substantial in hand. Also the steel insert is a nice feature. Well made and thought out. Mine flips great and the f&f is excellent.

Thanks for the pics. A YT'er mentions that the ball bearings ride straight on the titanium. Is anyone seeing significant wear on the bearing -to-titanium interface?

I see red washers inside mine, are you sure they don't ride on those? I can't see bearings working against the G-10 anyway.

If we were caught selling these at that price Benchmade would clear our shelves of them in an hour!

Proxy is a great knife and well worth the money.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought that I would ask my question here. I just got my Proxy and the detent is really strong...to the poing where it actually hurts my finger to flip it. Even when I pinch the blade with two fingers and pull it open, it takes a fair amount of effort. Is this typical and will it break in over time?

Mine flips well, a bit less snappy than some I have, but no complaints at all. A bit of a stiff detent, but no sore finger.

I'll throw a bandaid on my finger and keep flipping it :) ...hopefully, it will break in a bit over time.
