Recommendation? Pry Tool Suggestions ?

Alright, so I still have room in my pockets *cough* and I would like to add a designated pry tool to my work EDC. A 12 inch pry bar is too annoying to lug around everywhere and I don't need one all the time, but I can use a small pocket size pry tool basically every shift (I switch out small molds regularly and they are fixed by screws and two pins and have the tendency to go: "Nope, I'm gonna need wiggling and a screwdriver under my rear to get my off of here!")
So I figured I see what everybody likes. I don't want to spend "OMG Custom!"-Money, but more something like a Boker, Schrade or generally say sub ~50 $ it seems there is plenty to choose from, so narrowing it down seemed like a good idea.
Main function would be prying, allen/hex stuff would be neat. I don't need a bottle opener or screwdriver functions.

I have a Widgy prybar. It 's Ti and makes me want to pry stuff.

I don't have a picture of it but they make three sizes in straight or bent.

You got me thinking. I have had this same idea in the back of my mind for quite a while now and have been meaning to look into it again.

Well I use small pry bars quite a lot but don't carry one . . . any more . . . in my pocket. I have it in my bag. I still never use that one but I will show that one first. It is so cool because it is small, has an Exacto blade built in with liner lock with mid position detent no less; solid and works great. I had to stop carrying it in my pocket after it killed the second pocket . . . it seems it wants to escape and go exploring.

Now they try to do it all with this tool so the two different size prongs on the pry are designed to be small and medium screw drivers; you might want to grind them a bit sharper to get under what you are prying.

Next are some old photos of pry bar pairs (I tend to use them in pairs) Maybe mod one that suits you and carry that. I mod them all the time turning them into wedges that I tap on or press into place.

But finally . . . how would a knife like this work for you ? It has that lever sticking off it so it is kind of "partial tang" for levering strength so the pivot isn't as stressed. I had a heck of a time finding a photo I finally looked under peasant knife. Maybe grind the end into a shape that works better for prying ?

And very last I might even could go for some form of the Cold Steel Spike modified. Full tang, great handle, nice and thick . . . just grind the end.

Bingo.

Maybe the OP does, but I have no reason to spend more than a few bucks on a tiny pry bar. The tiny Dasco prys small stuff, wedges, scraps, and levers.

My most used pry bar is an older American made Stanley mini wonder bar 2, but the current ones are made in China so I'd probably go for something from Dasco pro or this other company who's name I don't remember which makes a very similar one here in the US.

It's a bit big to pocket, but would fit in a bag just fine.
Mine stays in a toolbox but I do kind of want a smaller one to carry.

Some good suggestions. I think the widgy bar is gonna be a winner. I might check out a local hardware store first though, if I dont find something suitable there I order one.

Casey Lynch - All Access Pass is the best pry tool hands down. They are hard to find though.

The home centers (Lowes, Home Depot, and so forth) carry very small pry bars. They're inexpensive and they work. That is what I would do.
