May I have you attention, May I have your attention please.

My fellow knife people, STOP using cheap crappy thread locker on knives. Instead please use Vibra-Tite VC-3. It is a far superior product that has none of the negatives of the old schoool crap and will stop the next owner of your knife from wanting to throat punch you.

That is all, carry on.

I am in no way affiliated with Vibra-Tite. I am a happy consumer and user of the product as it is the go to thread locker in the handgun/rifle/optic world.

Thank you for your time.

Oh and this thread happened because I just spent two hours removing old dried thread locker from every screw and bushing on my new to me Umnumzaan.

What negatives do you speak of? I have used all colors of Loc-Tite for decades on machinery, firearms, knives, motorcycles, bicycles and never have any issues when the right product is used for a specific task, with appropriate prep.

Of course, options are good but I am just wondering why you prefer Vibra-Tite?

I use Loc-time on most things other then guns and knives. VC-3 holds amazing, releases just as well, doesn’t dry out so swapping batteries in an optic every year is a cake walk and its actually reusable so it only needs re applied after removing the screw 2-3 times. No colors to worry about and it is so very forgivable.
This is just my preferred product for screws that get removed for maintenance tasks.

Thank you for the info my friend. I’m guessing it’s also safe for jewelry/watch bracelets?

This is dumb. The vibratite stays soft and prevents loosening from vibration. If you want your pivot screw to stay tight, you need real locktite that hardens.
